MRAeS, President, CEO, Director
Joe has more than 25 years' experience in the aviation industry. He joined Inflight Warning Systems as Director of Programs in 2006 and became our President, CEO and a Director in 2008.
Joe also has served as CEO of our subsidiary InstinctMRO, LLC since its inception in June 2013.
From 1991 through 2006, Joe worked for Delta Air Lines in several positions, most recently as MRO Program Manager and Technical Analyst. Previously, he served in the United States Air Force from 1987 to 1991. He studied electrical engineering technology at Southern Polytechnic University in Marietta, GA, and also attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, DeKalb College and the University of Maryland.
He maintains strong ties to the aviation and aeronautical community, serving as a member of the International Advisory Committee of the Flight Safety Foundation and the Vice Chairman of the Maintenance Advisory Committee. He is also a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society and the International Society of Air Safety Investigators.
Chief Technical Officer
Brian joined Inflight Warning Systems as CTO in 2015. From 2012 to 2015, he worked as a Business Operations Analyst for Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
From 2005 to 2011, he worked for Panasonic Avionics as a Manager of Global Communications Fleet Operations and Corporate Strategic Innovations. From 1992 to 2005, he worked for Delta Air Lines in several roles, most recently as Manager of Cabin Electrical and Systems Engineering.
Brian received a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from University of South Carolina. He is a certified Project Management Professional and a co-inventor of multiple issued patents.
COO, VP of Operations
Dirk joined Inflight Warning Systems as COO in 2011. He is also the VP of Operations and the COO of InstinctMRO, our subsidiary.
From 1987 to 2011, he worked for Hamilton Sundstrand in several roles, most recently as Aftermarket Program Manager.
Dirk received a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of California San Diego.
Mark R. McCoy
VP, Sales and Marketing
Mark has more than 17 years of experience in the aviation industry. He joined Inflight Warning Systems in 2016.
Previously, Mark worked as a sales leader for StandardAero covering Pratt & Whitney PT6A and PW100 engine services. From 2012, he worked for Innovative Solutions and Support (IS&S) as a manager of western sales operations.
From 2008, he worked for the Thales Group, leading commercial BFE, SFE, SSFE avionics support for multiple national and international airlines.
Previous to his time with Thales, Mark operated McCoy Aviation in Westlake Village, California covering a variety of commercial aircraft and aviation services in finance, aircraft sales & leasing, and operational support.
Mark received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from California Lutheran University, and is the third consecutive generation of his family to have proudly served in the United States Air Force.
